The Laboratory of Economics and Evaluation of Public Policies (LEAP) was present in the Actuarial Sciences course (UFPB), disseminating knowledge among the students.

Researchers Karys and Uriel delivered a practical mini-course on microdata from the Mortality Information System (DATASUS/SIM), demonstrating how to transform death records into a database ready for analysis, addressing the understanding of variables, standardization, and consistency checks. Throughout the session, they discussed best practices for handling administrative health data and ways to build useful indicators for research and public policy.
