The Laboratory of Economics and Public Policy Evaluation (LEAP) has launched the Panorama of Graduate Education in Brazil, an interactive platform that integrates data from CAPES and RAIS/MTE, allowing users to track the academic trajectory and labor market outcomes of graduate program alumni.
The tool is the result of a partnership with the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), with the aim of increasing transparency, fostering research, and supporting decision-making by policymakers, researchers, and society at large.

The dashboard is organized into four main sections:
Academic Trajectory: presents the flow of enrollments, degrees awarded, and the evolution of graduate programs.
Fellowships: shows the distribution and analysis of scholarships, highlighting the role of funding in academic training.
Employment: provides information on the sectors where master’s and doctoral graduates are employed.
Income: analyzes graduates’ earnings, enabling comparisons across fields of knowledge, gender, and other dimensions.
In addition, the dashboard features complementary sections on Methodological Notes and About, which explain the concepts, methods, and objectives of the project.
The Panorama of Graduate Education represents a significant step forward in understanding the academic pathways and labor market integration of master’s and doctoral graduates in Brazil.
